Sen. Cruz: 'We Got to Actually Deport People Who Cross Illegally'

The record-breaking surge of illegal immigration at the Southwest border "is a man-made crisis," Sen. Ted Cruz, from the overrun State of Texas, told Fox News on Monday.

"It was caused by Joe Biden and the Democrats, he said.

"Number one, they halted construction of the border wall. Number two, they reinstated the disastrous policy of catch and release. And, number three, Biden pulled out of the incredibly successful remain-in-Mexico policy. That's what caused this crisis.

"We went from, under Donald Trump, the lowest illegal immigration in 45 years to now, under Joe Biden, the highest illegal immigration ever recorded; 4.4 million people have crossed illegally since Biden became president.

"And I will tell you, a big part of my book "Justice Corrupted" is, it lays out the utter lawlessness of this administration. The reason for that crisis, Biden and the DOJ refuse to follow the law. And so the way to stop it is, we got to actually deport people who cross illegally. If you don't do that, you will never solve this problem."

The Department of Homeland Security released its monthly border update very late Friday night.

According to Customs and Border Protection, its agents encountered 227,547 illegal border-crossers, many requesting asylum, in September, the final month of Fiscal Year 2022. That brings the grand total for all of FY '22 to 2,378,944 encounters at the southwest border -- a record number.

Sen. Cruz did not directly answer a question about whether Republicans, if they win the majority in the midterm elections, will try to finish building Donald Trump's border wall...........

LOL!  Too late for that!

This year's 2.7M contacted at the border translates into 10-12M due to Chain Migration.

....and DEM votes

However, in defense of the good Senator, he did suggest to then President Trump on several occasion to get the wall built BEFORE the mid-terms.  Trump only did something at the eleventh hour right before the DEMS re-captured the House.  He then played ping-pong with Chuckie and Nancy from that point forward over the issue of building the wall.  Here we sit.
