Former President Donald Trump fired off a foreboding Truth on Sunday night, reacting to a Washington Examiner exclusive that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is recording a robocall for a Republican candidate whom Trump has rejected.

That candidate is Joe O’Dea, the underdog Senate contender in Colorado who is trailing Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) in public opinion polls and last week made waves when he vowed to "actively campaign against" Trump and spoke favorably of other party heavyweights, including DeSantis.

After O'Dea took a public stance against Trump during the Sunday talks shows last week, Trump completely disavowed the candidate, saying, “MAGA doesn’t Vote for stupid people with big mouths."

Colorado is one of those purple states that became straight ticket democrat when lardbutt rode down the escalator.  It seems fantastical the GOP held the state senate, SOS, AG, Treasurer, and most of the congressmen.

Colorado has been invaded by illegals and Californicated along the Front Range and out to Aspen. I recall in the '90s when the residents of developments around Mt. Sopris (Aspen was a lead/silver mining town, initially) didn't want their yards hauled off to a depth of two feet and replaced because of the lead content in the soil (but would have supported such elsewhere--just not their back yards...). I found that little hypocrisy amusing, and it wasn't the last time I saw environmentalists and liberals at odds.

It has changed, but is within shouting distance when the GOP allocates resources.  Joe Biden is 14 points underwater in Colorado, and the Generic ballot is split 45/45.  There are always surprises in a wave year.  The polls had Mark Warner 10-25 points ahead in the summer of 2014.  GOP shifted resources elsewhere, and Ed Gillespie wound up losing Virginia by 0.8%. 

That is why Trump's behavior is reprehensible.  One more senator would have prevented congress from spending something like $4 trillion in 2021.  Stephen Breyer could have been replaced by a judge who understands the difference between male and female.  And now Donald is starting an eleventh hour childish spat with Ron DeSantis of all people, putting out antagonistic social media posts, and snubbing him from a November 6th rally with Marco Rubio.  It is a source of continual amazement that people want this lunatic back in the white house.
