Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) will completely pull all his super PAC’s money out of New Hampshire, effectively sabotaging Republican Senate candidate Gen. Don Bolduc.

The McConnell-backed Senate Leadership Fund will pull all its ads off television starting October 25, Shane Goldmacher of the News York Times reported Friday afternoon. The decision will rip $5.6 million away from Gen. Bolduc’s candidacy and greatly help incumbent Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH).

The general will now be all alone in the Granite State. The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) has also reportedly removed its financial support from the state.

According to a Friday poll, Gen. Bolduc is virtually tied with Hassan, despite being outspent by nearly $9 million, third quarter campaign fundraising totals show. Gen. Bolduc, a retired one star general, has been running a strong campaign by calling out Hassan’s nearly 100 percent support of President Joe Biden.

“Look at what has happened to New Hampshire: historic inflation, people are hurting — they can’t afford the necessities of life,” Gen. Bolduc said during Tuesday’s debate.

“We’ve got to get rid of career politicians. Granite Staters say, ‘Number one problem is career politicians.’ Twenty years, right there,” he said, pointing at Hassan in the room.

McConnell’s decision to remove financial support from Gen. Bolduc comes as McConnell is spending about $9 million to defend pro-impeachment Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) from Trump-endorsed challenger Kelly Tshibaka, who is leading in the polls by a slim margin.

Breitbart News reported Thursday seven Alaska Republican committees have issued a public rebuke of McConnell’s financial influence behind 21-year incumbent Murkowski.

“[W]e request the Senate Leadership Fund immediately stop the attack ads against Kelly Tshibaka and discontinue the support of all opposing candidates,” one committee wrote to McConnell.

Of course Mitch doesn't like the idea of term limits...or being rid of Career politicians, he's a poster child for the cause.

Since when?  You really think House Republicans are going to stand up to the Democrats and cut all the spending from which their power is derived?  Not a chance.  If they even think about it, Democrats will say mean things about them.  And no House Republican can tolerate that.

It is far better for any Republican Congressman to jump on board the "Destroy America with Debt" train than it is to risk having someone say mean things about them.

Bolduc refuses to kiss the ring.  McConnell wants his assurance now that he will get Bolduc's vote for Senate Majority Leader.  No assurance, no PAC money.  That's how the game works.

To Mitch McConnell, being Senate GOP Leader and settling political scores are far more important than stopping the Democrat agenda.  The only reason he blocked Garland from the Supreme Court Obama's final year was to settle a score with Harry Reid.  It had nothing at all to do with keeping a Democrat off the court.

Republican New Hampshire Senate candidate Don Bolduc recently said he would not support McConnell as leader

The Republican super PAC aligned with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said Friday that it would cancel the millions of dollars it had reserved to spend on TV ads in New Hampshire's Senate race.

The Senate Leadership Fund said it would slash $5.6 million from the state, which was one of the party's top targets to flip.

In a statement to Fox News, Senate Leadership Fund president Steven Law said "as the cycle comes to a close, we are shifting resources to where they can be most effective to achieve our ultimate goal: winning the majority."

The move comes just two weeks after the National Republican Senatorial Committee – the Senate GOP’s re-election arm – scrapped its own television ad reservations in New Hampshire.

The GOP might score historic victories in 2022, but no party, whose leaders despise their base, can thrive as a long-term pollical force.

You can't simply count on the other side being a trainwreck forever.
