‘Sick of it!’ J.D. Vance confronts race-baiting Ryan: My biracial children get attacked by scumbags because of you

Ohio candidates for the U.S. Senate, Republican J.D. Vance and Democrat Tim Ryan squared off for a debate Monday night at the historic Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown, Ohio. Neither appears to like the other very much, but it never got any more vitriolic than it did during their exchange on the “great replacement theory” question, a topic posed by co-moderator Bertram Dsouza.
During the heated exchange, Ryan accused Vance of peddling the theory. Vance said that the result of that accusation has been the subjugation of his “three beautiful, biracial babies” to vicious attacks, both “online and in person.”
The origins of the Great Replacement Theory are the subject of some debate, but the substance of it that by holding our southern border open, Democrats seek to replace the voting influence of American citizens with those of liberal-minded foreigners. Democrats call it a conspiracy theory and say that Republicans are horrible people for pursuing this line of attack.
The debate question appeared to be asked in an inflammatory way. Instead of using words such as ‘citizens’ and ‘foreigners’, Dsouza said “whites and non-whites,” making it a question of race rather than citizenship and immigration policy. So, the question purposely frustrates Republicans (and GOP candidates) from the word go.
After framing the background that way, Dsouza referenced Vance’s warnings last May of an “immigrant invasion” and asked who the invaders are and how they are coming.
“Well, the primary way they are coming into the country is through Tim Ryan’s and Joe Biden’s wide open southern border, to the tune of about two-and-a-half million people. And of course, it’s not just the people, it’s the fentanyl, it’s the sex trafficking, and all the other things they are bringing.”
“The Democrat leadership… say that they want more and more immigration, because if that happens, they’ll ensure that Republicans are never able to win another national election. It’s not about whites or non-whites.”
Vance then pointed out that he is married to “the daughter of South Asian immigrants” and said that his life has been ‘rich’ and ‘blessed’ as a result. “Her family came in legally,” he said before arguing against the profligate allowance of an endless stream of foreigners, some of them hostile, pouring across the border and beginning their relationship with the country by breaking its laws.
“[Ryan] is going to talk about how he disagrees with his party on border security – go ahead, Tim – but you vote for the amnesty, you vote against the border wall funding… and it’s going to destroy this country unless we get it under control.”
Then it was the ten-term Democrat’s turn.
