I agree - and some are big ones such as gun control, so-called reproductive rights and climate. Will she moderate her views?  And if she does, will she be credible?

Thing is, in my county for example there are alot of conservative, pro-life Catholics who've been Democrat all their lives. I know they aren't blind to what is going on in the party.

While they may not vote Rep, it's also a good probability that any Dem not far-left woke may walk away and just not vote, or skip most of the ballot, write-in, etc.

You wonder if Tulsi isn't just the tip of the iceberg. Not sure if the Dems have calculated for their base not turning out.

Democrats turned their party into a cesspool as best they can.  Now, like democrat areas of the country they reside in, they are moving out of those cesspools of their making too.  To move on to be politically viable, they are ready to move into the Republican party and play genuine Conservative RINOs, at least for a little while.

I heard DeSantis has her high on his search list for a running mate.

People can change their views dramatically, and actually mean it. My cousin was a big pro-union, pro-Bernie far leftist for quite a while. Next thing I knew, she was a rabid conservative and enthusiastic Trump fan.
I'll wait to see whether Tulsi has become a conservative, or just an ex-Democrat.

To be honest, I was skeptical about Reagan, Trump, and Rick Perry.

Reagan and Trump won me over.

Perry did as Secretary of Energy, but not as Governor.
As Governor, Perry didn't do anything to stop Illegal immigration (I realize it is the Fed's job, but Abbott and a few others are at least trying).
Big donors wanted the cheap labor and he turned away from it.
He had a big land grab to build an interstate highway system that (Thank God!) fell through.
He was more conservative on other things, and I think he was fine as Secretary of Energy.
John Kennedy (Louisiana Senator, not JFK) has done well.

I guess we shall see how Gabbard turns out.

I like the theme developing here, that of redemption, in spiritual things or as with Tulsi Gabbard, freeing oneself from mundane sins—like political associations.  Before I point fingers at others I always search myself first for those times when I was changed, when I redeemed myself in areas of my life.

So, I’m willing to put aside my doubts about Tulsi.  I’m just glad the minions of wokeness have lost one more American.
