Funny post!
I get the sarcasm.

Those are the frivolous "reasons" that the "mainstream" media
persuades the gullible, low information voters with to hate Trump.

I decided to post this reply, for the benefit of any
gullible, low information voters who might read this thread.

I wouldn't want them to think that YOU have fallen for those frivolous "reasons"!

If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion,
mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind.

They have won the party’s nomination.  Elections aren’t looking so great.

With regard to the author … why blame the governors for lockdowns, instead of the Fauci/Trump regime?  Governors imposed restrictions because Fauci/Trump wanted them to, and lifted them despite heavy criticism from Fauci/Trump.

By 2024, I think the electorate is going to be ready to move beyond the Trump/Biden years
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Yep

What sells to the base of a political party may not sell to the electorate at large

Defunding the police, for example, may be appealing to the left-wing base of the Democrat Party as banning abortion may appeal to the right wing of the Republican Party  but neither position is popular with the general public

Actually, a clear majority of the general population is
AGAINST abortion all the way up to birth (and after!)

A clear majority wants SOME restrictions on abortion.

Huh?

On this thread alone you mentioned his skin color and personal wealth twice when nobody else  has brought it up as a negative

[/size]

But they don’t support an outright ban. Something the GOP needs to keep in mind

From a legal standpoint, I have to agree.
The Constitution does not give the federal government any power to regulate abortion.
Roe vs. Wade always was on shaky legal ground for that reason.
Any federal regulation would also be vulnerable for the same reason.

If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion,
mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind.
