Last year, the House passed the No Rogue Rulings Act, reining in federal district judges and ending their ability to issue injunctions outside of the parties involved in a case.

John Thune has sat on it for 439 days.

He has done absolutely nothing to get it passed in the Senate.

In the span of 24 hours, a federal judge ruled that a governor can’t be investigated for helping illegal aliens stealing taxpayer money evade the law.

Then a foreign-born judge named Sparkle ruled the government can’t verify whether those same illegal aliens are voting illegally.

Then another judge ruled taxpayers must buy illegal aliens and their anchor babies all the junk food they can cram into their shopping carts.

That happened. In that order.

We can either have a country or out-of-control judges, but we can’t have both.

Judge Sparkle L. Sooknanan blocked President Trump's SAVE citizenship verification system.

It appears she kept her Trinidadian citizenship and pledged renunciation only “if required by law.”

If judges can stop Presidents, they should not also be citizens of foreign nations.

Judge Linda Colfax explained her ruling as Antonine Watson, 24, was set to be released on probation for the 2021 killing, during which he fatally shoved beloved Thai grandfather Vicha Ratanapakdee, 84, in an unprovoked attack.

A federal appeals court on Thursday reversed a lower court’s order that required the National Park Service (NPS) to restore exhibits and signs that had been removed by the Trump administration.

The lower court ruling would have restored the signs and exhibits that the Trump administration had ordered removed because it viewed them as having disparaged Americans, according to The Hill.

But the judges of the First Circuit Court of Appeals found that the Trump administration “made a strong showing that the harms that the district court relied on” had not met the standards for an injunction. They also found that the groups suing the government “cannot show that a stay of the district court’s order…would cause them substantial injury.”

Federal Judge Orders DHS Not to Obey Order From Another Judge.
(The Epoch Times)—A federal judge on July 8 said the Trump administration must not comply with an order from another federal judge and must continue to have key functions of an immigration database disabled.

Judge Sparkle Sooknanan of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia said that officials with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other agencies shall keep disabled the ability to look up Social Security numbers and carry out mass uploads in the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) system.

Sooknanan ordered the Trump administration in June to disable the features, finding that recent updates to the database violated privacy laws by disclosing Americans’ Social Security numbers and other sensitive information.

Sooknanan said on July 8 that arguments from the government in favor of pausing her previous order were unpersuasive, including the argument that highlighted a July 7 ruling from Judge T. Kent Wetherell II of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida that ordered DHS to enable the functions for four states under a 2025 settlement that he had approved.

Wetherell had noted that he could have waited until the case in Washington proceeded, but that the four states had presented “unrebutted evidence showing that they are suffering real and concrete harm every day that passes without the disabled features of the SAVE system.”

He said that Sooknanan could have deferred to his previous determination that the functions were lawful, which was reached, he said, in part because the Social Security Act does not preclude disclosing Social Security numbers for immigration enforcement.

Chief U.S. District Judge James Boasberg in Washington sided with, opens new tab the Coalition for Independent Technology Research in finding that the administration's policy likely unlawfully burdens the speech of non-citizen researchers in the United States in ​violation of the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment.

The group's lawsuit alleged that the U.S. State Department, while claiming it is ​fighting online censorship that Trump's allies have argued has affected conservative speech on social media, ⁠had been engaged in a far-reaching campaign of censorship targeting researchers and anti-disinformation advocates. Boasberg, who was appointed by Democratic ​President Barack Obama, agreed, saying the policy treated non-citizens' research and advocacy in favor of greater content moderation as the ​basis for visa denials, exclusion or removal in violation of the First Amendment's free speech protections.

TPS protections for Haitians extended through the weekend by federal appeals court

There's some temporary relief for the approximately 350,000 Haitians living in the United States after a federal appeals court blocked the Trump administration from ending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) through the weekend.

TPS was set to expire on Friday.

That means that Haitian TPS holders can keep their work permits and will be protected from deportation – for now.

That's because the court ruling only pushes the extension of TPS until Monday, July 27.

After Obama-appointed Judge Allison Burroughs blocked President Trump from ending Temporary Protected Status for Somalis on Friday, the reaction from Congress was unusually swift.

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) announced plans to introduce articles of impeachment against the activist judge on Monday. 

“SCOTUS made it very clear that lower courts cannot suspend TPS. Yet, an Obama-appointed judge is defying the Court and the Constitution in an attempt to subvert the will of the President," he said in a statement.

"This judicial activist’s obstruction of the people’s will must be stopped. Judge Burroughs must be impeached," he added.

"On Monday I will file Articles of Impeachment against Judge Allison Burroughs for her unconstitutional act of Judicial Activism!!! Enough is enough, Americans First NOT 3rd world migrants," he wrote.

It's pretty clear that a large cabal of liberal federal judges have gotten together and mutinied against the U.S. Supreme Court by willfully ignoring or trying to make end runs around its rulings.  It's a clear challenge to the authority of the high court in general, and to Chief Justice John Roberts in particular.  He better be reining them in fast or the House of Representatives and Trump will do it for him.

But the impeachment vote would be a useful exercise in these cases of clear, willful judicial insubordination against the U.S. Supreme Court.  All of these judges talk with each others, and with the SCOTUS justices, through their social and professional networks, so making an example out of a few of them through formal impeachment (undercutting their credibility and authority) and cutting their budgets (the "power of the purse") might get that point across.
