Princess of Wales reveals George 'understands the loss' of the Queen while Charlotte and Louis 'less so' - and that they're 'doing well' and are being 'looked after at their new school' as she meets well-wishers

Kate Middleton and Prince William, 40, stepped out in Sandringham this afternoon to view tributes to Queen
Kate told one wellwisher her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were 'doing well'
She said they were being 'looked after' at their new school, which the children started just last week

Kate Middleton revealed Prince George 'understands the loss' of his great-grandmother - while his younger siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis 'less so - during a walkabout in Sandringham today.

The new Princess of Wales was joined by Prince William as they met with wellwishers outside the Norfolk estate  as they viewed floral tributes to the Queen.

According to royal correspondent Roya Nikkhah, that was there that the royal mother-of-three gave an update on how Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, three, were coping.

The new Princess of Wales, 40, spoke to one wellwisher today about how her children have been coping since the loss of their grandmother last week at Balmoral.

Speaking to BBC's Jo Black today, the unnamed wellwisher, who was amongst the crowd standing outside the estate today, said: 'My daughter asked her how the children were doing, and  Kate thanked her and said yes, they were doing well and they were being looked after at school, so that was a nice exchange.'

The Duchess of Cambridge and Cornwall, as she is now known, looked deep in thought as she arrived in Norfolk for the walkabout.

The royal couple were seen slowly looking down at a sea of floral tributes in Sandringham today, while the Prince pointed down at individual cards and objects.

It has been a busy period for the royal mother-of-three, who only recently moved her family to a new home in Windsor and took her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, to their first day at school last week.

Yesterday, she supported her husband and other senior royals as they paid tribute to the Queen at the funeral procession through central London.

It works great @Lando Lincoln  ----- wonderful pictures   happy77

Happy it worked!  I was using my phone in a bad reception area and I fumbled with it for awhile. Queen Elizabeth II didn’t choose the role of Sovereign, but she performed her duties without equal. I will miss her in our radically changing world.

William and Harry will stand at the head and foot of the Queen's coffin in a special vigil on Saturday night with all eight of the monarch's grandchildren.

The Duke of Sussex will wear military uniform - which he didn't during Wednesday's funeral procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall - at King Charles III's request during the 15-minute ceremony.

It is considered the latest reconciliation move between the King and his son, whose relationship has become strained since Harry quit as a working royal.

Spouses such as the Princess of Wales, Meghan Markle and Mike Tindall will not attend the vigil, where the other six grandchildren will be in Morning Coat and Dark Formal Dress with Decorations.

The relatives will stand in quiet contemplation around their grandmother for a quarter of an hour as a mark of respect - something they were all keen to undertake, sources say. Their parents are doing the same this evening.

The Prince of Wales, 40, will be flanked by Zara Tindall, 41, and Peter Phillips, 44,; The Duke of Sussex, 38, by Princesses Beatrice, 34, and Eugenie, 32, with Lady Louise, 18, and James, Viscount Severn, 14, at the middle of the coffin.

I'm curious about a logistical matter: where does Harry store his uniforms and medals? He couldn't possibly have brought all that stuff with him when he last flew from L.A. to London. Are they stored at Buckingham Palace for his convenience for whenever he's in town and needs to spiff up a bit?

My guess is that every single minute detail associated with the QE2's death has been long and well planned in advance  Down to how many feathers are in the plumes of the military detail.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

The royals do have their share of cling-ons ----

Fergie mourns the Queen: Sarah Ferguson joins Prince Andrew to look at floral tributes left outside Windsor Castle as she is seen for first time since monarch's death

Duchess of York missed out on Balmoral walkabout with her daughters this week
She also didn't attend procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall
However, the Duchess is thought to have been invited to the funeral on Monday

Today Extra host Sylvia Jeffreys says Meghan Markle was in a 'threatening environment' when she and husband Prince Harry put on a united front with William and Kate after the Queen's death in Windsor

Today Extra host Sylvia Jeffreys has defended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, saying it took courage for them to stand side by side with the Prince and Princess of Wales at Windsor Castle on Saturday despite hostility from the public and the press.

'I can't help but think that would have been a really threatening environment for Harry and Meghan, or at least daunting,' Jeffreys said on Friday.

Tears at their final vigil for the Queen: Sombre King Charles joins the Earl of Wessex, the Princess Royal and a military-dressed Prince Andrew in Westminster Hall to stand at guard at Her Majesty's coffin for last time before Monday's funeral

The Queen's four children this evening stood guard of their mother's coffin for 10 minutes at Westminster Hall
It was their second, and final, Vigil of the Princes and mirrored event held at St Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh
Prince Andrew wore military uniform at the event today, having been banned from donning military colours
The Queen's eight grandchildren, including William and Harry, will perform their own similar vigil tomorrow

DAN WOOTTON: Charles and William have done everything possible to make concessions to the Sussexes. Now it’s time for Harry and Meghan to put the late Queen’s wishes for a united family ahead of their own quest for revenge

By Dan Wootton for MailOnline

Published: 13:51 EDT, 16 September 2022 | Updated: 13:52 EDT, 16 September 2022

As far as offering forgiveness at a time of overwhelming grief, King Charles and Prince William have been both compassionate and statesmanlike over the past seven days.

Members of the Royal Family, quite understandably, haven’t forgotten that in the days before Queen Elizabeth the Great’s death, the media briefing and social media campaign by their son and brother respectively Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle had continued at pace.

In fact, their odd little PR guy Omid Scobie, who, it turns out, doesn’t know that Scotland is part of the United Kingdom, was furiously tweeting that the Sussexes had no desire to meet up with any of their blood relatives, until the perma-victims received an apology for their apparent mistreatment.

That’s despite the Duchess issuing a thinly veiled threat to reveal all about her horrid days as a member of the Royal Family during an interview with the woke US magazine The Cut, which this week grimly published a hit piece against Charles as he grieved his mother.

There was an all too striking similarity to the weeks before the death of Prince Philip, where the Sussexes pressed ahead with a derisory and largely untrue expose with Oprah Winfrey, despite being informed the Duke of Edinburgh had been taken to hospital.

So the backdrop to the warring Windsors coming together in tragedy could hardly have been more fraught.

But Charles, who has many faults, showed one of them is certainly not his ability to forgive and move on.

Quite the opposite. This week, his priority has been making Harry and Meghan feel as if they’re still part of the family.

King Charles III leaves Queen's coffin after holding vigil with siblings

The King and his three siblings have finished their vigil at Westminster Hall.

The four children of the Queen held the vigil standing guard around the coffin for around 10 minutes as members of the Royal Family watched on.

Members of the public have now continued to file in and pay their respects to Her Majesty.

The Queen's children took time to reflect as they publicly grieved by their mother's coffin.

For Meghan and Harry dinner is served, and on the menu is 'revenge': royal expert
A dinner with Harry, Meghan, William, Kate and other royals didn't allegedly go quite as reported
By Neil Sean | Fox News

LONDON, England – It is often said that the best way to solve family troubles is in unity and getting together. Sometimes grief or the sudden loss of a loved one can make people see sense and bury the hatchet so that all can heal and move on.

However, when you look at the fractured royals, more so the gift that keeps on giving in the shape of former actress and activist Meghan Markle, along with her husband Harry, all is not what it seems, and what was actually served was not the ideal meal. Let me explain.

Only two weeks ago, Meghan was in Manchester, England, serving up that well-worn dish to her "favorite" charity, the story about the girl outside of the group. You-know-who wrote to the head of a huge U.S. company about women doing the washing up, then followed by how she had been invited to take a seat at the "table" for her activist work.

So this latest PR spin, which really focused on the recent royal walkabout in Windsor to meet the public, so they could observe the flowers that the devoted and respectful people of Great Britain had brought in memory of her dear queen, also turned into PR spin with insiders suggesting that Harry & Meghan had threatened the Prince and Princess of Wales about trying to upstage them in the PR stakes. But in reality, William and Catherine know that the true story was that William invited his brother and later suggested the wives, but first it was meant to be the two boys alone.

Never one to miss that headline or photo opportunity, Meghan clutched onto Harry with superglue strength until, as she told a source who reports back, she said, "I feel the media is wrong. The Brits do like me, and I got to witness that personally." Hmmm.

So now, it's claimed this week in the New York Post's gossip column Page Six, there was a reunion dinner to which all royals, including Harry and Meghan, were invited, and all is now forgiven. Sources tell me that's not quite the story. The true story is that it was an informal gathering of a few drinks and snacks with polite conversation, but at no time were the foursome ever breaking bread and laughing together.

After Megs and Harry trashed the late queen’s family all for exposure, and Meghan, of course, threw back the good will of the British people for that wedding, which she called a "spectacle," now the only dish that Meghan was offered was humble pie, and she refused. You see, simply because while she is preparing to "forgive," her exact word in that recent magazine interview, the deep slice of hurt for William and Catherine in particular cuts deep.

So while they might wish to spin this oh-so non-story into something bigger, the meeting was short-lived, Meghan as ever felt "uncomfortable," and there were certainly no hearts and flowers from the newly appointed Prince and Princess of Wales.

I have on the greatest of sources that Tom Bower's book ‘Revenge’ was actually read by Catherine’s most ardent supporter and best friend, her mother, the fragrant Carole Middleton, who adored the queen and treats William like her son. The eye-popping revelations in that book threw new light onto exactly how Markle may have operated during her time as an actress; and naturally, being her daughter's best pal, surely this was duly reported back to Kate.

So, the only dish Meghan has served up is, in fact, her own slice of revenge, but in the case of Catherine and William, will they finally now serve back the Sussexes just deserts when they visit the U.S. later in the year?

Duke and Duchess of Sussex ‘uninvited’ to state reception at Buckingham Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appear to have been uninvited to a state reception hosted by the King and Queen at Buckingham Palace on Sunday evening.

The couple received an invitation to the grand event for world leaders and foreign royals earlier this week but are thought unlikely to attend after palace officials insisted it was for working members of the Royal family only.

It remained unclear on Friday night why they had received an invitation for an occasion that Royal aides insisted they were not expected to attend.

Sources close to them appeared baffled, while palace aides continued to insist that they were not invited and were not expected to show up.

Joe Biden, the US president, and Emmanuel Macron, the French president, will be among hundreds of heads of state who will be welcomed to London on the eve of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.

Presidents and prime ministers from across the globe will arrive in the capital throughout the weekend alongside foreign royals, governors-general and ambassadors.

As dusk falls on Sunday, they will be driven into the gates of Buckingham Palace before rubbing shoulders in the picture gallery and state apartments.

Despite the grandeur of their surroundings, the reception will be a muted affair, with guests asked to wear lounge suits or morning dress, with no hats or decorations.

Guests will be greeted by Royals including the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Princess Royal and the Earl and Countess of Wessex. Drinks and canapes will be served.

Invitees include ambassadors from North Korea and Iran as well as Empress Masako of Japan, who will accompany Emperor Naruhito, despite largely retreating from public view two decades ago...........

Man is arrested for GRABBING Queen's coffin: Black-clad mourner rushes from queue and lifts the Royal Standard off the late monarch's casket before being tackled to the ground - leaving girl, 7, injured and onlookers gasping in shock

Officers arrested the man following the incident, which took place at 10pm on Friday at Westminster Hall
He appeared to rush towards the coffin and attempted to lift Royal Standard before being tackled to the floor
Met Police say a man was arrested by armed offices at the scene on suspicion of a public order offence

The lunacy in this world is unbelievable.  How sad. How horrific for the Royals.

Perhaps he can regale the gang with a Scranton, PA story.

I’m certain a Corn Pop tale would lighten the mood a bit.

Let that river of life wash it all away
