Agreed, self defense from nasty people that think they are above the law. I guess folks think they have a right to just be as vulgar as they want, but when you fire up a car/truck and drive at officers, then they have every right to end the threat right there.
The other day in Alabama, some fellow tried to run over an officer, he missed and hit a tree. Officer ran inside got he weapon and came out and the fellow again ran at him and hit him knocking him into the hospital. Officer fired at the second attempt but did not hit the rammer. You don't want to put yourself in the situation of having to hit the perp as they are actually zoned in to hit you at speed. Our off duty police officer showed that he waited to long to fire and nearly died due it. If not for a neighbor he would of died.
