Cheney says she’ll work to keep election deniers out of office
by Rachel Scully - 08/21/22 10:09 AM ET

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) said she will focus on keeping election deniers out of office following her loss in her reelection bid, noting that she is still focused on her role on the Jan. 6 committee as well as “tremendous work left to do as Wyoming’s representative in Congress.”

“I’m going to be very focused on working to ensure that we do everything we can not to elect election deniers,” she said during a discussion of her future on ABC’s “This Week.”

“We’ve got election deniers that have been nominated for really important positions all across the country,” she added. “And I’m going to work against those people. I’m going to work to support their opponents.”

Cheney said that she would get involved in campaigns against Republican candidates who are challenging or denying the results of the 2020 election, including her GOP colleagues in Congress.

Where was Cheney when democrats and their media shills were vociferously alleging that Trump was an illegitimate president and that he stole the election away from Hillary?

She’s been in the House since 2017 and I seem to recall hearing crickets from her about that.

Exactly, AC. One of the most vociferous election deniers was Hillary. Not a word from the Lizard.

I cannot understand why NT'ers such as Mona Charen, George Will and the recently-defeated Ms. Cheney are compelled, almost as a matter of religious zealotry, to deny that ANY fraud took place in 2020.

There exists meticulously documented and readily available hard evidence that fraud did in fact occur, specifically with respect to ballot harvesting, serial abuse of drop boxes, violations of state election laws, and denial of local oversight of polling places in heavily-Democrat precincts.

Admittedly, it is a significant leap to suggest that the election was therefore "stolen", but to simply deny the possibility out of hand requires both cognitive dissonance and willful blindness.

"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

Exactly.  One does not have to concede that the 2020 election was stolen in order to agree that (a) there was a lot of documented fraud in the 2020 election, and (b) we need to correct that because the fraud makes the elections dubious, and therefore open to challenge by those who didn't "win" them.

Yup

Her “work to keep election deniers out of office” will, strangely, not reach across the aisle

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Nothing like supporting conservatism Liz; just like your pappy!!

"Election denier" is just a misnomer for any conservative politican who wants to put the American Public ahead of their own agenda, and the agenda of the long, deep, and thick swamp.

Her saying this is an outright declaration of war against true conservatives.

Considering her ties to the Bush-Clinton-Cheney cabal, and now here other left wing allies......   This should be taken seriously.

Fine Liz, we've got a job for you:  go to Georgia and do everything in your power to keep Stacy Abrams from being elected to any state-wide office, ever.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.

Democrats, though wrong on practically every issue, have an enviable unity

There are no Democrat politicians that ran on keeping 2016 election deniers out of office

"Election deniers"?

You mean people who want only those votes from actual eligible voters to count?
People who want to limit the opportunities (if not eliminate them entirely) for people to cast ballots for people who do not exist, are dead, or otherwise ineligible?

Those "election deniers"?

STFU, Liz. You burned up your 15 minutes...

At least their alleged "lies" did not cost thousands of lives, trillions of dollars, and twenty years like old Man Cheney's 2002 Iraq lies.
