The Trump organization is in trouble and so is DJT and his sons.

Former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg pleads guilty to tax violations

Former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg pleaded guilty Thursday to tax violations spanning over a decade, agreeing to serve 100 days behind bars and testify about the Trump Organization's business practices.

Weisselberg, 75, was charged with evading taxes by receiving perks that were not counted as income. He pleaded not guilty to 15 counts, including grand larceny last year, which, in the state of New York, is the unlawful taking of funds or property valued at $50,000 or more.

"In one of the most difficult decisions of his life, Mr. Weisselberg decided to enter a plea of guilty today to put an end to this case and the years-long legal and personal nightmares it has caused for him and his family," Weisselberg's attorney, Nicholas Gravante Jr., said.

Weisselberg was accused of receiving compensation "unreported or misreported" to the tax authorities, namely benefits such as a company car and a company apartment in New York City.

Weisselberg was charged as part of then-Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance’s investigation into the Trump Organization, which began in 2019. Alvin Bragg is now serving as district attorney.

"Thanks to the incredibly hard work and dedication of the team prosecuting this case, Weisselberg will spend time behind bars," Bragg said. "We look forward to proving our case in court against the Trump Organization."..................

......."Under the terms of the plea deal, if Mr. Weisselberg testifies truthfully at the upcoming trial, he will receive a five-month sentence and likely serve as little as 100 days with time credited for good behavior. Mr. Weisselberg, who was facing up to 15 years in prison, must also pay nearly $2 million in taxes, penalties and interest after accepting lavish tax-free perks including leased Mercedes-Benzes, an apartment on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and private school tuition for his grandchildren.

The plea deal does not require Mr. Weisselberg to cooperate with the district attorney’s broader criminal investigation of Mr. Trump, and his admissions will not implicate the former president....."

"if Mr. Weisselberg testifies truthfully" ...who defines 'truth'?

Whatever 'they' decide is the truth; Weisselberg received a sizeable reduction in fines and jail time. This shouldn't implicate President Trump (yet), but what is it going to do to the Trump Organization as a whole and who will be implicated other than Weisselberg??
