Multiple White House staffers and Democrats have taken to social media attempting to rebrand President Biden as "dark Brandon" amid a series of legislative victories.

"Dark Brandon is crushing it," Andrew Bates, the White House deputy press secretary, tweeted Sunday evening along with an image of Biden with laser eyes.

"Your malarkey has been going on for long enough, kiddo," read the image's caption.

Bates then tweeted another meme with the captions "the malarkey will end" and "the dark Brandon rises" in response to a tweet criticizing his initial post. The image appeared to depict Biden as Batman.

The phrase “Let’s Go Brandon” started off as a dig to President Biden that spread quickly online and became a political slogan adopted by the president’s critics on the right, including former President Trump.

The phrase became popular among Trump’s base after NASCAR driver Brandon Brown mistakenly interpreted the crowd’s background chanting of “f— Joe Biden” as “Let’s Go Brandon.”

But recently, the use of the phrase has shown signs of shifting.

The White House has attempted to reclaim the “Let’s Go Brandon” catch phrase in the wake of recent wins by the Biden administration via a new “Dark Brandon” meme that has flooded the internet.

Uncomplimentary “Dark Brandon” memes first started to make the rounds online shortly after Biden was elected president, according to Politico.

But on Sunday, new imagery started to gain popularity on Twitter — one that was complimentary. Some shared images of Biden has “Dark Brandon” — ominous, darkly lit, Terminator-esque images of the commander-in-chief with bright red eyes, reminiscent of science fiction or horror films.

“Dark Brandon is crushing it,” tweeted deputy White House press secretary Andrew Bates, who shared a photo of Biden with laser red eyes that said: “Your malarkey has been going on for long enough, kiddo.”

I don't believe that's how it happened. A reporterette was interviewing Mr. Brown after the race, and she claimed the crowd - which was loudly chanting "f*** Joe Biden" - was saying, "Let's go, Brandon."
