Well, I tell ya, when COVID hit and I went to withdraw money from our bank and there was a sign on the door that the bank was closed and you could only make 2 transactions per day and not exceed $500.00 through the drive thru, we now only keep what we need in the bank to pay bills.

This is very serious.  This is going to have a huge negative impact on our economy; especially because China is only going to buy oil from countries using their own currency.

I doubt there is a more scary scenario to the financial world than a widespread bank run.

It can collapse the whole shebang within days. We have never had one in the modern, interconnected global economy to date.

That's just it, the economy that exists is a global economy and anything that rocks that boat means we may all go down; it possibly could have a domino effect and we sure as heck can't depend on Yellen to make any smart moves, nor Joe. They have already contributed to the collapse of our economy.

A video showing tanks lined up on a road in China has shocked the internet. Quoting local media outlets, users on Reddit say that the footage is from Rizhao, in Shandong Province and the tanks have been deployed to protect the local branch of a bank at the heart of a scandal. The issue first surfaced in April when South China Morning Post (SCMP), in an article, said that residents of Henan and Anhui provinces were denied access to the bank accounts due to a "system upgrade".

Since then, bank deposits at Yuzhou Xinminsheng Village Bank, Shangcai Huimin County Bank, Zhecheng Huanghuai Community Bank and New Oriental Country Bank of Kaifeng in Henan province and Guzhen Xinhuaihe Village Bank in the neighbouring Anhui province have been affected, SCMP said..................

...............The locals hit by the banking crisis, one of the worst in recent years in China, claim 40 billion yuan (US $6 billion) in deposits have disappeared and have been protesting demanding access to their savings.

They have been told to "wait patiently", SCMP said in a report on Monday. Some of the people with less than 50,000 yuan (US $7,400) received their money last week but others are still waiting................

Truly!

For one thing,where would all the allegedly 'murikan auto and every other manufacturers get their cheap Chinese parts from that they charge American Union prices for? IIRC,one series of GM automatic transmissions are ENTIRELY made in China. GM even build a factory there and send UAW workers there to show them how to set it up and run it.

And GM is just ONE example. I wouldn't be surprised if more than 75 percent of the tools,car parts,tv sets,and other consumer goods  we buy was made in China.
