Possible explosion reported at Hoover Dam
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Boulder City Fire Department is responding to an emergency call at Hoover Dam after a reported explosion Tuesday morning.

Video showed billowing black smoke seen rising from the dam just before 10:30 a.m.

The possible explosion occurred near the Arizona turbine house, and it was unclear whether it was inside or outside the building.  ... More

Boulder City Fire Department is en route to an emergency call at Hoover Dam. No further information is available at this time.

the fire was extinguished before Boulder City Fire Department arrived on scene. Bureau of Reclamation/ Hoover Dam will be handling any additional questions.

Fox reporting fire is already out..in fact it was out before the FD got there...

That's what I saw reported today.  Had I read this yesterday I'd have been plenty worried about watching the cities down below me by the Colorado River being washed out.  Bullhead and Laughlin, NV.
