Enough with the doom and gloom – We’ve got this
By John Green

I’ve been writing a lot about how the Dems have painted themselves into a corner. It is beyond fun to contemplate how badly they’ve cooked their own gooses for the next two election cycles. It’s also a reason for us conservatives to have some optimism. We’ve been yearning for an American reset for some time and the Dems have been working unwittingly to provide it (is there any kind of Dem but a witless one?). Maybe conservatives actually have an opportunity to make it happen – if we don’t pass on this rare chance. Which brings me to some interesting email I’ve been receiving.

I’ve gotten a fair amount of negative email from readers. They aren’t bothered by my assessment of how badly the Dems have screwed everything up. They’re bothered by my level of optimism. A composite of these emails would read something like this:

The Democrats are evil geniuses. They have corrupted everything and there will never be another fair election. Even if we do get Republicans elected, they’re all a bunch of Vichy cowards and will do nothing to stop our march towards socialism. America is finished.

You see the same doom and gloom here. After Hillary Clinton lost her election in 2016, I went to take a peek at left wing blogs to see the reaction there. They also cried about stolen elections, the country was finished, etc. etc. I think it’s our nature to be pessimistic to protect us from being let down

There is no question we are in for some very ugly times. And I can guarantee you with these people currently in charge, things will either stay bad or get much worse.

But, as bad as things look today, there are a lot of trends that are shaping up nicely for those of us who call ourselves conservative. The 2021 elections were just a taste of what’s waiting for the Democrat party going forward. The Democrats know they’re probably going to have a very ugly night this fall. What worries them is what happens after that. They could be left wandering the wilderness for a long time

I know it’s hard to be optimistic. But I am. I am also a realist. The 2022 and especially the 2024 election are the GOP‘s to lose. My prediction is the 2024 nominee will be a Republican governor.

I have never seen an administration or a political party that deliberately inflicted pain on it’s citizens and dismissed their concerns. We need to make it very clear to the American public that this is all being done, not with good intentions that went awry, but intentional to push a radical ideology on citizens

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

The varmints and critters outside my home office window are doing okay.  I prefer to follow their positive example instead of all the Debbie Downers on TV.

The Dems are now framing the inflation issue as "global inflation".  They think this justifies trying nothing and running out of ideas.
