State Dept. undermines Afghan freedom fighters, condemning their fight against Taliban

July 11, 2022 - 3:28am

The State Department said that it would not support “violent opposition toward the Taliban government” in a statement to The Foreign Desk Thursday.

The response by the department came following a successful ambush by the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan against Taliban fighters in the Khost district of the Baghlan province in the northern part of Afghanistan.

The statement emailed to The Foreign Desk by an official spokesperson for the State Department shocked many who viewed the recent victory as a small yet critical gain against the Taliban government.

“We are monitoring the recent uptick in violence closely,” the State Department spokesperson said.  .  .

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-
