Report of suspicious activity leads to 15 migrants crammed inside SUV

A tip led authorities to a human smuggling attempt in Santa Teresa, New Mexico on Tuesday.

A total of 15 migrants were found riding inside an SUV, according to El Paso sector Border Patrol Chief Gloria Chavez.

Border Patrol officials said a concerned citizen called the border patrol station advising a white SUV picked up migrants off Highway 9.

Border Patrol found the vehicle and made a stop. They found 15 immigrants crammed inside the vehicle.

Small children (with parents) were also found inside the SUV.
