You make good points, but I am not likely to be in a position to test that an myself.  Would I take a family into that maelstrom?  I don't know unless presented with the situation.

ETA:  As it is, my neck is a bit out there because I'm an officer of my County's GOP (Vice Chairman).  I will be doing that until January when my term ends.
