I'd love to see someone educate the "wise latina" about where the "Establishment Clause" really is.

Just for reference:

First Amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

The Establishment Clause is one comma away from the Free Exercise Clause.

Actually not. It's in a letter from Jefferson to the Danbury Baptists.

Establishment clause deals with the prevention of the Government from establishing one lone religion for the country and outlawing the others.

Biden couldn't come out tomorrow and declare that the "Church of The Silly Walks" is the only recognized and official religion of the United States because it violates the establishment clause.

The reality is there is no constitutional "wall of separation."
The libs/dems of today are the Quislings of former years. The cowards who would vote a fraud into office in exchange for handouts from the devil.

The first amendment is perfectly clear on the subject IMHO.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; ...

A person praying in public, no matter what his position may be, is not Congress!

Exactly.

And displaying the 10 Commandments in a courtroom doesn't violate the 1st Amendment.

Neither does displaying a nativity scene on the front lawn of city hall.

I quoted the actual First Amendment....I agree there is no "wall of separation" in the Amendment.

In a foundational treatise of checks and balances, smack dab in the middle of the very first amendment are the Establishment and Free Exercise clauses - in of themselves calling for a balance between two extremes.  Our Founding Fathers were brilliant.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

They should have stopped writing after the fifth word.
