No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

Going to the docs and discovering that I have yet another illness that has no treatment.  Joy!

However, each day is a blessing and I am thankful!!

As for being taken seriously; the older I get, some of those around me are starting to realize I was right after all, which is somewhat satisfying actually.

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

Remember being young, and staying pain free.  At age 65, something now aches or hurts all the time.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

What bothers me is the aches and pains, but in some respects the aches and pains are a gift. Without hem, I would not be as motivated to work out and keep my body physically able to do the things I want to do (especially play golf).

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

When I turned 50, several years ago, on my birthday and such everyone had 'old man' jokes and laughs. I can't use the toilet without getting my balls wet, was a common jibe. I just shook my head and thought forgive them because they know not what they do. You are going to be right here where I am before you know it, if you are lucky enough.

Many of the guys derisively laughing it up, were in their 40s. So to them 50 is a million years away. They don't know the time creep arc. They do not know that from age 1 to 30 takes a hundred years. From age 30 to 50 is a blink of an eye. My only response was, hey man, you are tailgating me and you don't even know you are right behind me. Once you are as they say 'over the hill' you pick up speed on the other side.

What bothers me about being old is the burden of wisdom, which makes suffering fools almost unbearable.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.

As I get older, I notice my filter disappearing.  That's a good thing.
