Hershel Walker wins Georgia GOP Senate primary, setting up November clash with Warnock

Former football star Herschel Walker won Georgia's Republican Senate primary Tuesday, as he seeks to unseat Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., in November.

Walker is a rare candidate to unite both the MAGA wing and the establishment win of the Republican party. He earned endorsements from both former President Donald Trump and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., in the GOP primary race.

Brad Raffensperger has over 50% of GOP vote.  Idiots.  This is the man who handed the Dems two US Senate seats.

Arkansas polls are closed and Sarah Sanders is favored to win the GOP nomination for governor while incumbent Sen. John Boozman hopes to retain his Senate seat.

Polls in Arkansas have closed as former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is favored to win the GOP nomination for governor and incumbent Sen. John Boozman hopes to fend off his primary challengers in a contentious race.

Endorsed early on in the race by former President Trump, Sanders hopes to clinch her party's nomination in an attempt to replace incumbent Gov. Asa Hutchinson, who is term-limited and has served as governor of the state since 2015.

Ahead of Tuesday's election, Sanders, who announced she was running for governor in January 2021, consistently polled ahead of Francis "Doc" Washburn, her primary challenger. Washburn is a former radio talk show host who now has his own national podcast.

Seems like a great candidate.  Finished 5th in the primary.  Maybe in a few more years he'll try again for Osoff's seat.  You think he would've been a better candidate than Herschel?  Serious question as I am not a resident of Ga.

I have a friend who ran in District 4, Hank Johnson's district.  She is an awesome woman and would truly have given Johnson a run for the money.  She has been working hard on the ground for months actively finding solutions (now) for local problems and convincing black voters that the Democrat Party does not have their interests in hand.  But she also poses a major threat to the State GOPe.  The State GOP found a candidate to oppose her in the primary and then funded her campaign.  The voters she was counting on to win in November did not vote in the GOP primary.  So she lost her primary to the GOPe candidate.

This GOPe candidate has zero chance at winning in November.  More importantly, he has zero chance of bringing black Democrat voters over to the GOP.  My friend was doing exactly that, stripping black voters from the Dem plantation in Trump fashion.  But the State GOP sabotaged all of that.

The Georgia GOP is a cancer.  They do not represent the people of Georgia any more than the Democrat Party.  Both parties can go to hell.  I will be voting Libertarian in November.
