NEW: CBP sources tell me a Border Patrol agent was injured by gunfire while responding to the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School. Those CBP sources tell me Border Patrol was NOT involved in any pursuit in relation to this incident, despite rumors/claims they were. @FoxNews

The shooter broke multiple laws simply by possessing that gun (he’s under 21) and carrying it on school property (gun free zone). Criminals don’t comply with gun control laws.

OK the Uvalde shooter was confirmed as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos. CNN withholding the name after disgustingly @JakeTapper
 and @JulietteKayyem
 immediately assumed it was a white supremacist because everyone politicized this immediately.

Authorities are releasing information on the teenage shooter who they say killed his grandmother before murdering 14 elementary school students, and 1 teacher at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde Tuesday morning.

According to officials, 18-year-old Salvador Rolando Ramos is the person who police believe acted as a lone wolf shooter in the incident. It is believed he was armed with a handgun and possibly a rifle.

Officials say two officers were also struck by gunfire but were not seriously injured.

Initial details on the suspect were not immediately available, however, officials say Ramos is apparently from the town of Uvalde, which is 85 miles west of San Antonio, and that he was reportedly born on May 16, 2004.

He was said to have been shot and killed by authorities moments after the shooting, according to Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

It is unclear what motive Ramos had in this shooting is.

The students who attend that school are 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders.

This is a breaking news story.

Biden to deliver address on Uvalde school shooting, orders flags flown at half-staff

President Biden on Tuesday ordered all American flags at the White House and public buildings be flown at half-staff to honor the victims of the Uvalde school shooting that took 15 lives, many of them children.

The order also applies to all military post, naval stations and vessels until Saturday at sunset.He will address the shooting at 8:15 P.M. ET from the Roosevelt Room in the White House.

The order came hours after a gunman opened fire at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, about 80 miles west of San Antonio.

The shooter was killed.
