Because when you don't take care of your self, watch your weight, bathe regularly, dress well, it is easier to blame everyone else for what you see in the mirror than it is to go through the effort to shape up, clean up, and look as good as you can.

When you start blaming everyone and anyone else for things you could change that make you unhappy (even if you are in denial about that) you are on your way down the slippery slope to becoming a full-blown leftist.
