I am in Pennsylvania right now. I will not be voting in this election because i changed my registration to Texas. Ironically, I am still on the rolls here and could easily vote in both elections if I wanted. But I changed my residency to Texas, so I will stay out of this one.
I think Barnette is getting a lot of traction for two reasons: (1) she is authentically MAGA in terms of her positions, and she has been authentically MAGA for a long, long time; (2) The other two are suspiciously deep-state (Oz in big media, McCormick on Wall Street); (3) the negative campaigning by both Oz and McCormick has turned people off and so they are seeking a third option.
I don't think Barnett's tweets about Muslims and Obama being Muslim disqualify her among her core voters. The tweets add to her credibility as an authentic MAGA candidate.
As I said, i don't have a dog in this race, but if I was voting I would be really torn. I would definitely not vote for Barnette because I am not MAGA by any means (although I don't hate or fear the movement the way some RINOs do). Also, Barnette will likely get creamed in the fall, even against a complete socialist like Fetterman. Oz and McCormick both have baggage as far as I am concerned.
I guess I would go with Oz on the electability issue alone, and hope he would not be as disappointing as Toomey was. In the end Toomey was 1000 times better than Casey, and way better than any D would have been, and Oz would be too.
