Kirsten Gillibrand: If Roe Overturned American Women ‘Are Half Citizens’

Pam Key 8 May 2022

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that if the Supreme Court overturned the 1973 Roe. v Wade decision, women will become “half citizens.”

Gillibrand said, “Every one of us is standing up, speaking out, rallying, marching, talking to our constituents, lifting up their voices and their stories. This is the biggest fight of a generation, Jake. And if America’s people, America’s women and men who love them do not fight right now, we will lose the basic right to make decisions, to have bodily autonomy, and to decide what our futures look like.”

She added, “This is a fundamental moment for advocacy and for not giving up. So, what I’m doing and what many of my colleagues are doing are pushing for a vote next week. We are going to be aggressive with all our colleagues and with our Republican allies to vote for codifying Roe v. Wade. We are not giving up. We will never give in, and we’ll keep fighting. If the American people are paying attention, this issue will also be on the ballot in November. We need to make sure that every single voter understands that the Republican Party and Mitch McConnell does not believe that their daughters, their mothers, that their sisters have rights to make fundamental life and death decisions. We are half citizens under this ruling. if this is put into law, it changes the foundation of America.”

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
Half the babies killed (statistically) are women.

What about those women?

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Herein, she admits that abortion causes death. And yet, she proclaims the right to kill without consequence, justification, or limits.

Such a "right" is not inherent in any reasoned concept of what it means to be a citizen.

"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

Sen. Kennedy from LA., asked two great question that are "esteemed" new justice, Brown, couldn't answer.

1. When dos life begin?
2. When does equal protection apply?

I hadn't really thought of abortion in that light. The pro abortion crowd don't really believe in equal protection, some have more rights than others.

No, you're not!  You're just as equal as men.

Men have no abortion rights.  If they engage in an exercise of their bodies that results in the creation of another human life, not only do they not have a 'right' to kill that life, they also will be financially liable for the upbringing of that child for the next 18 years.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

Matters not.
It's New York state.
She'll probably get re-elected until she's Feinstein's age.

Gillibrand is a half-wit. Does that also make her half a citizen?

Depending on the State it is more than 18 years. If the child goes to college, a judge can make the male contributor responsible or partially responsible for the person until the child graduates. Eighteen years of child support is just the beginning. There is also half medical/dental expenses among many other ancillary expenses.

Depending on the State and the Judge, you could wind up essentially becoming an indentured servant for decades to pay off a one night stand to a woman you no longer even know anymore. Basically paying massive money to a stranger you used to know years ago who now lives thousands of miles away.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

And furthermore... I have friends that went sideways on child support... Life threw em a curve and they went into the cheap seats and could no longer afford the support assigned by the court... So the ex goes on welfare, and the guy winds up owing it to the state instead of the ex... with crazy accruing interest... That will follow him past the grave - YES, the state can take his estate.
