... We’re seeing one name floating around Twitter in relation to the leak. Note, we can neither confirm nor deny if this is legit or not but thought it was worth sharing …

A person called Amit Jain clerks for Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.
As a Yale student, Jain blasted Yale for supporting Brett Kavanaugh's nomination.
Jain was quoted in a 2017 Politico piece by Josh Gerstein.
Today, Gerstein published the draft SCOTUS opinion on Roe.

Again, just a theory but an interesting one, especially during an election year.  ... Twitchy

If this clerk did what he's supposed to have done, then he should be permanently disbarred and arrested, and if there is even a hint that Sotomayor knew what he was going to do, or had a hand in it, she should be impeached.

There is little question that this leak is designed to create threat to the life and limb of any justice who signs onto the majority opinion. Prosecution to the full extent of the law.

The SCOTUS leak is an actual insurrection. An attempt to completely upend and delegitimize the rule of law, incite violence and chaos, and potentially plunge the nation into civil war. January 6th was a stroll in the park compared to this. It's not even close.

The left will rally around this clerk and he'll be considered a hero.

Of course he will; the same way Floyd was made into a hero.  The GOP should still push for his prosecution - as the saying goes, this is a hill worth dying on.

An entire draft majority opinion in Alito-speak is difficult to fake ... these are typically 6000 words or more.  Politico needs to close itself down if they are bluffing here.

Do the rats think rallying around Killing unborn baby's will help them in the Midterms?

They must think it will make people forget about;
Double digit inflation
Soring food prices.
Gas at record highs.
Cost to Heat/Cool homes.

Even with the MSM promoting this story It won't suck the air out of a room full of more important problems,  But we shall see.

Klobuchar: SCOTUS Literally Stripping Woman of Their Rights — 2022 Midterms About Abortion

Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) said Monday on MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” that if the Politico report that the Supreme Court has made a 5-4 decision to overturn abortion was accurate, they were “literally stripping the women of this country of their rights.”

From what I've heard...that's up to the Chief Justice. So it will be up to Roberts to actually push for an investigation and prosecution.

Total B.S.  If Roe is overturned, it devolves back to the individual states, and most states will not see any changes whatsoever.

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

It probably isn't a fake; it probably was drafted by Alito, but it represents what Alito would say if it were just up to him, and it represents, more or less, an internal advocacy piece by Alito trying to persuade other members of the Court.  It is not the Court's opinion, and would almost certainly not be the Court's opinion; depending on how the voting goes, parts of it might show up in the eventual opinion, but it will not itself be the Court's opinion.

Correct.  The last time Democrats were this upset about a Supreme Court ruling was when Plessy v. Ferguson was overturned in 1954.

Meanwhile, an actual insurrection is going on outside the S. Ct. building. I'm guessing there will be no congressional hearings, eh, Rep. Kinzinger?

Before Finally Overturning Roe, Supreme Court Must Block Yet Another Insurrection Attempt
Those who care about norms, decorum, civility, institutions, and rule of law must hold the leaker and any co-conspirators fully accountable for this egregious breach.

The Supreme Court is poised to relinquish its nearly 50-year stranglehold on abortion law and return the debate over whether states may protect unborn human life to the American people and their elected representatives, according to a draft opinion that was leaked to Politico reporters. If the draft opinion authored by Associate Justice Samuel Alito stands, it would be a momentous course correction for the court.

Roe v. Wade, the radical decision that took the abortion debate away from the American people, has myriad legal, scientific, and constitutional critics. Even abortion supporters complained about its weaknesses, as Alito mentions in his draft opinion. Roe was issued in 1973, shortly after the end of the Warren Court, known for pushing through radical changes through the power of a majority of justices rather than on the basis of the Constitution. ...

Someone leaked the draft, almost certainly to pressure the justices to change their views. Alito’s draft opinion from February would go to the concurring justices for feedback, commentary, and fine-tuning. It would also go to justices on the other side of the issue for their knowledge as they write their dissents.  ...

To some observers, the leak seemed to be coordinated with Democrats and other supporters of abortion.

“And right on cue, Biden will give remarks about Roe v. Wade from the White House tomorrow. Completely transparent and devastating political leak,” wrote conservative commentator Katie Pavlich.   ...
