Hunter laptop emails reveal Joe Biden used code name of famous KGB spy from Tom Clancy novels
April 30, 2022 | Kevin Haggerty If the ongoing investigation into Hunter Biden’s laptop has demonstrated anything thus far, it’s that there are still serious questions that have gone largely unanswered, and the latest such example has many raising their eyebrows.
Even before the digital age, the practiced use of codenames to coordinate movement and communication of high-ranking officials and VIPs had been a common one. So, while it is not unexpected to see that the then-Vice President Joe Biden used a pseudonym in some of his emailed messages, the fact that he chose the character of a fictional Soviet Union-era spy as his alias seems, at the very least, off-color.
Peter Henderson is a character created by bestselling novelist Tom Clancy. The KGB mole had made his way into the inner circles of the U.S. government by working as a minor Senate aide before being captured by the CIA in the popular Jack Ryan series. Henderson, who appeared in classics like “The Hunt for Red October” and “Without Remorse, agreed to become a double agent in exchange for his freedom.
