Biden Admin Caves To Republican Pressure, Greenlights Natural Gas Projects

The Biden administration finally approved permits for two liquefied natural gas (LNG) export terminals in Texas and Louisiana after pressure from industry groups and Republican lawmakers.

The Department of Energy (DOE) issued the two long-term orders, approving the Golden Pass LNG terminal in Texas and Magnolia LNG terminal in Louisiana, according to an announcement Wednesday. The action will enable the U.S. to export an additional 500 million cubic feet of domestically-produced LNG per day.

“U.S. fuel supplies, including LNG, continue to play a key role in global energy security, particularly due to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine,” the DOE’s Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management said.

The administration ultimately approved the two terminals’ permits Wednesday due to pressure from Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, a source familiar with the decision told the Daily Caller News Foundation. Cruz has blocked DOE nominations over the LNG export terminal permit approval delays.

What about using our domestic energy supplies for domestic purposes?  These are "export" terminals, after all, which means it's going overseas, out of the U.S., for use.

The Dems will find a way to reneg.  They'll suddenly discover endangered sand fleas that need protection at the terminal sites.

Biden said "Yeah, yeah, sure, sure" to make bad press go away, but, I bet there will be many Government regulatory delays and lawsuits that will prevent these terminals from actually coming to fruition.

Biden is quite successful in shipping our energy resources to our enemies and other foreigners around the world.  Remember, Utopia, Utopia, Utopia!  Don't worry about Joe shipping our energy to foreigners around the world, Joe is looking to buy us the energy he sold or gave away by buying energy from foreign nations at far higher prices.  As for electric cars, most of the materials that goes into electrical cars comes from china and other foreign nations, which will of course continue the transfer of wealth and money to those nations. Believing liars and traitors for DECADES, is not without its consequences, but the lies were so delicious, and Biden so innocent, eh?  Now quit your bitchin, bend over and take the consequences.
