As for you, you don’t get to spend money on “other things” because you have to pay off those loans you didn’t take out.

If I make don't good on my financial obligations, I would also have more money to spend on other things.

If I didn't pay my Federal Income Tax, Social Security Tax, Medicare Tax, State Income Tax, Local Proerty Tax, my mortgage, my utility bills, my credit card bills, my medical co-pays, etc., I'd have sooooooooooooooooooo much more money to spend on other things.
