I did it.  I chose a setting in the Admin section to not embed vids on mobile devices.  Folks with a fixed data plan don't like accidentally streaming huge, byte-wasting videos.  I did this around the time Bass re-configured the video embedding.

This forum is much more advanced than some I frequent and post to.

They all have a manual setting for everyone who uses the site.

At the bottom of the home pages they have a "desktop" and a "mobile" button.
You click on one or the other depending on how you want to view the board.

It is up to the individual user as to how they want to view the site.

I am not talking about any type of advanced messaging board either.
Most are hosted by ads.

That is one reason I asked about a personal setting.

Isn't that better than one individual making the decision for everyone?😬

You can choose mobile or desktop.
As you can see, it is an unremarkable board that uses ads as support.
The option seems to be on every board I post to except this one and this is the only one of two that is not ad supported.

I have to go with the arrows in my Admin quiver, and that's not very large with Simple Machines Forums software, which is what TBR runs.

I might be able to find something at the Forum forum....
