BREAKING: Multiple People Injured During Shooting at South Carolina Mall

A gunman opened fire at Columbiana Centre mall in Columbia, South Carolina, on Saturday, injuring several people. The Columbia Police Department reported the shooting at about 2:30 p.m. Eastern time.

The victims injured during the shooting are currently getting medical attention. At least one ambulance was seen leaving the scene, as law enforcement officers carrying rifles and wearing camouflage vests were viewed walking into Dave & Busters, according to The State.

    Twelve people were injured during in a South Carolina mall shooting Saturday afternoon.

Police in South Carolina responded to a 911 call that was made around 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. that reporteFd gunfire near the GAP store inside the Columbiana Centre, a mall in Columbia, South Carolina. Multiple 911 calls were made after that, according to Columbia Police Department Chief William H. Holbrook.

Among the 12 people injured, 10 suffered gunshot wounds, and two were injured in the stampede that followed the gunfire inside the mall.

Eight people who suffered gunshot wounds were transported to area hospitals, and two people self-reported their wounds, according to Holbrook. Two people are in critical but stable condition, and six people are in stable condition.

Officials say that the oldest victim is 73-years-old, and the youngest is 15-years-old.

Holbrook said that at least three people were seen with firearms inside the mall, and at least one person fired a weapon.

A suspect is in custody in connection with the mass shooting at a South Carolina shopping mall local police announced Saturday, as authorities increased the tally of those injured to 14.

A gunman on Saturday afternoon opened fire near the food court of the crowded Columbia, South Carolina shopping mall. The shooting did not cause any deaths, and three persons of interest were taken into police custody immediately after the gunfire, according to the Columbia police department.

Columbia Police Chief W.H. “Skip” Holbrook revealed late Saturday that Jewayne M. Price — a 22-year-old who was one of three people initially detained by law enforcement — has been arrested and is expected to be charged with unlawful carrying of a pistol.

Price may be subsequently slapped with more charges, the Columbia police department said in a press release. Investigators concluded that at least three suspects “displayed firearms” in the mall, and at least two separate guns were used in the shooting by two suspects, the department said.  ...

I was going to post about a mass shooting in Pittsburgh last night, but it's just more of the same.

A mass shooting at a house party in Pittsburgh early Easter morning left two juveniles dead and several others injured trying to escape, police said.

The gunfire unfolded at an AirBnB property being rented on Madison Avenue shortly after 1 a.m. on Sunday. Authorities estimate as many as 200 people were at the house.

About 50 rounds were fired inside the home forcing partygoers to jump out of windows and suffer broken bones and lacerations.  ... NY Post

Marquise Robinson and Jewayne Price went before a judge at the Columbia Municipal Court Tuesday morning in the incident where 9 were shot and the others sustained injuries while trying to escape the gunfire.

Robinson appeared first. Robinson is facing nine counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, attempted murder, and unlawful carry of a handgun. Each of the assault charges carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, while the attempted murder charge has a maximum penalty of 30 years.  ...

Has the judge been attacked for being a racist yet? Doesn't he know he was supposed to release them on low bail and house arrest wearing monitors? This is unbelievable, a White person would never be denied bail for a similar situation.
