Feds: 3 Cincinnati area residents conspired to smuggle illegal immigrants from Mexico into US

Three Turkish-born residents living in the Cincinnati area are facing felony charges for conspiring to smuggle illegal Turkish immigrants into the United States from Mexico.

The trio of Comert Kurdistan (aka Comert Ardic), 43, of Newtown, Ohio, Emma Brown (aka Emma Nur), 35, of Cincinnati; and 26-year-old Ismail Altundag, 26, of Cincinnati, are charged with federal immigration crimes, according to U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio Kenneth L. Parker.

The three people allegedly hatched a plan in October and November of 2021 to bring at least three undocumented immigrants into the U.S., the indictment reads.

Parker did not detail how law enforcement learned of the plans.

Conspiring to bring illegal immigrants into the U.S. is a federal crime that could carry up to 10 years in prison.............

NEW: The state of Texas says they have already dispatched D.C. bound buses to areas where the federal gov has been mass releasing migrants.
TX says a majority of the communities who asked for buses report the Feds haven’t dropped off migrants since Abbott’s announcement.

Back out at the Texas border wall. I’m told the first 1.7 mile stretch of 30 foot high wall in Rio Grande City is 98% complete. Couple of gaps now being filled in, and work is being wrapping up on gates, electrical, lighting, and drainage.
