Scalise slams Biden on foreign policy, dangerous gaffes: ‘Nobody knows what he means’
March 30, 2022 | Robert Jonathan

Reacting to a series of potentially dangerous Joe Biden gaffes on the world stage, U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) described the commander-in-chief’s foreign policy as “a major liability” and that American people have lost confidence in Biden’s ability to lead.

Europe is in “a weaker place right now” because of President Biden’s miscues, he added.

Scalise also recalled a prophetic statement from former U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, who served in the G.W. Bush and Obama administrations, that Biden “has always been wrong on foreign policy.”

“It’s all been the wrong experience,” Scalise insisted about career politician Biden.

What’s different now is that Biden is unfortunately the final decisionmaker, rather than just a senator or vice president, Scalise noted in the interview embedded above.

Just in the last few days, White House staff had to walk back, or tried to, Biden’s comments in Warsaw, Poland, where he met with NATO leaders about the Ukraine war. There, the president appeared to call for regime change in Russia, implied that U.S. troops might be deployed in the conflict, and that chemical weapons usage by Russia would prompt a response “in kind.”
