Simply put, in China people are property of the state. The state can do as they please with you. There is no appeal.

We are going in that same direction here and too many are going along with it with barely a whimper.

Just a reminder, this was the model for our own lockdown.  China locked down first, and we followed suit.  We basically copied what they did by shutting down our economy.

The daughter of my wife's work colleague was living in Wuhan when the virus first hit.  She was an English teacher there.  She was locked in her apartment for five months.  Food was dropped off at her door every few days.  And the US State Dept did NOTHING to get her out.  She was in contact with them daily, but it turns out they were using her for information.

And all of this to reach "zero" on a virus that will simply waft back into the country from abroad each and every time since it is a respiratory infection.

Seen as a tagline on another forum:
"Peaceful coexistence with the left is not possible. Stop pretending that it is."

If this be true, then what is left to do...?
Is it time for that "New Continental Congress" yet...?

Any word from Bob Chapek on the imprisonment of 26 million people near his Shanghai resort?  Or is he too busy filming another hostage video for the groomer lobby?

Shanghai residents heard screaming from windows as COVID lockdown continues

By Anthony Blair, The Sun
April 11, 2022

Disturbing footage captures the moment ordinary citizens in Shanghai appear to start screaming out of their windows, after being forbidden from leaving their houses for over a week.

The world’s third-biggest city has been under total COVID lockdown since April 5, with food supplies said to be running low as China’s government struggles to cope.

Video originally shared on Chinese social media shows the Shanghai night skyline, with dozens of high-rise apartment blocks visible.

In the background, dozens of screaming voices, seemingly from a number of different locations, can be heard spontaneously.

What appears to be a searchlight is being shone out of one of the apartment buildings.

The clip is just the latest disturbing video to emerge from Shanghai, where 26 million people have been forbidden from leaving their houses for five days.

On Saturday, starving shoppers were filmed looting a supermarket after only being granted paltry government food rations.

Other footage includes the sound of people screaming for food and medical supplies.

Don't forget, China is the country that liberals/progressives have repeatedly praised for its ability to "get things done" - this illustrates what will surely happen to us if we continue to allow liberals/progressives to rule us.

Tucker covered this last night in his monologue. Also shocking and covered in his piece was the Chicom's shovel beating dogs, and bagging up cats, and leaving them on the sidewalk to die.

I'm surprised they weren't turning the cats and dogs into "food" for the people they've imprisoned in their apartments.

Apocalyptic scenes in Shanghai's rebellion against Zero Covid chaos: Residents attack police after being evicted to create quarantine centres and try to break barricades in hunt for food... while hazmat-clad Communist thugs still can't stop cases going up
*Shanghai residents scuffled with police after being ordered to give up homes
*Dozens of buildings in the city have been converted to makeshift isolation hubs
*Separate videos seem to show police pinning protestors to the ground

I know it's way to much to hope for, but one can always nurture the small, faint hope that, at some near point, the CCP will have pushed the Chinese people too far, and they will, finally, rebel fully and openly against the CCP.

I speak Chinese, monitor news from China.  What most people don't realize, the Shanghai residents in those apartment buildings they're carting off to the camps, are almost exclusively older, non-workers on pensions.  Chinese economy has tanked. Can't afford the $$ to them.

So they're basically carting off pensioners to die?
