Marine Corps ends all 3 of its crisis response deployments

The Marine Corps soon will end its crisis response deployments developed after the 2012 attack on the Benghazi, Libya.

The final deployment as part of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Crisis Response – Central Command, or SPMAGTF-CR-CC, began in October 2021, Capt. Ryan Bruce, a Marine Corps spokesman, told Marine Corps Times on Friday.

It “will not be replaced by another rotational Marine Air Ground Task Force,” Bruce said.

At its height, the Marine Corps had three congruent special purpose Marine air-ground task forces on crisis response missions to Southern Command, Africa Command and Central Command ― but the Corps’ new focus on a potential fight with China may have killed the crisis response formation.

WTH??????

We all LOVE to make fun of the USMC,but there is no one on the planet more serious and intense than USMC officers. If there wasn't a need for such a program, they never would have created it to start with.

Has the Navy cut their funding?
Anyone who isn't paranoid in 2021 just isn't thinking clearly!
