Now that Joe Biden’s president, The Times finally admits: Hunter’s laptop is real

Forgive the profanity, but you have got to be s–tting us.

First, The New York Times decides more than a year later that Hunter Biden’s business woes are worthy of a story. Then, deep in the piece, in passing, it notes that Hunter’s laptop is legitimate.

“People familiar with the investigation said prosecutors had examined emails between Mr. Biden, Mr. Archer and others about Burisma and other foreign business activity,” The Times writes. “Those emails were obtained by The New York Times from a cache of files that appears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Mr. Biden in a Delaware repair shop. The email and others in the cache were authenticated by people familiar with them and with the investigation.”

Authenticated!!! You don’t say. You mean, when a newspaper actually does reporting on a topic and doesn’t just try to whitewash coverage for Joe Biden, it discovers it’s actually true?

But wait, it doesn’t end there. In October 2020, The Times cast doubt that there was a meeting between Joe Biden and an official from Burisma, the Ukrainian gas company for which Hunter was a board member.  “A Biden campaign spokesman said Mr. Biden’s official schedules did not show a meeting between the two men,” The Times wrote, acting as a perfect stenographer.

Yet in the latest report, published Wednesday night, The Times said the meeting likely did happen. Biden had attended the dinner in question. Funny how this works when you don’t just take someone’s word for it.

In the heat of the presidential race of 2020, The Times never missed a chance to cast doubt on the laptop, saying the information was “purported” and quoting a letter from former Democratic officials who claimed — with no evidence — that it was Russian disinformation. As recently as September 2021, The Times called the laptop “unsubstantiated” in a news story.

Why was it unsubstantiated? Because of willful ignorance and The Times curious lack of curiosity. Hunter’s business partner Tony Bobulinski came forward immediately after The Post’s reports and confirmed that the emails bearing his name were legitimate. The Bidens didn’t even deny it was true! They just deflected, with the media’s help, saying it was a dirty trick or not a story. Mostly, the press just ignored it.

Now, this is supposed to be some sort of revelation?

Meh.

Just another news outlet I don't trust.

But there must be a reason, aside from undeniability, that this is 'coming out' now.
Is the move grinding into motion to get the doddering idiot out of the White Hut?

After all, NYC is likely high on the first strike list.

Most likely, the NYT is dribbling it out in bits and pieces so that the underlying facts - and their spin on them - eventually become part of the background noise, and no longer present a real threat to Bidet or the democrats.  They are pre-emptively salting the field so that, when it's brought up against Bidet later on, they can claim that's it's all just old news that's already been hashed through and nobody did anything, so it can't really be criminal.

HUNTER BIDEN AND THE SHAME OF SOCIAL MEDIA. Today the New York Times published a story about the federal tax and foreign-influence investigation of President Joe Biden's son Hunter. The paper reported that Hunter Biden paid off a "significant tax liability," thought to be more than $1 million, in hopes of fending off indictment. But the investigation, run by the U.S. attorney in Delaware, is about more than just taxes, the New York Times reported — it also focuses on possible violations of "foreign lobbying and money laundering rules" in Hunter Biden's lucrative dealings in Ukraine, China, and elsewhere. ...

Of course, if more news organizations, including the New York Times, had reported the details of the laptop story, more viewers would have known exactly what Trump was talking about.

So it's fair to say that many media outlets did not exactly cover themselves in glory in the Hunter Biden laptop matter. But the real shame belongs to social media giants Twitter and Facebook, which actively suppressed the New York Post story.

Facebook said it applied its "process to reduce the spread of misinformation" to the laptop story. "While I will intentionally not link to the New York Post, I want to be clear that this story is eligible to be fact checked by Facebook's third-party fact checking partners," tweeted Facebook spokesman Andy Stone. "In the meantime, we are reducing its distribution on our platform." The "fact-checking" claim was, apparently, a ruse. Facebook never published the results of any fact-checking done on the article.

Twitter was even worse. The company banned the New York Post from the platform and blocked the story itself on Twitter. ...

White House press secretary Jen Psaki repeatedly spread disinformation about Hunter Biden’s laptop — before and after the 2020 presidential election.

Psaki’s public statements on the laptop are receiving more scrutiny after the New York Times finally reported Wednesday that emails from the laptop as authentic, after leading the charge to dismiss them during the 2020 election.

When asked about the authenticity of the laptop in December, Psaki said she “neither had the time nor interest” in reading a book about the subject.

She also ignored a question about whether she regretted sharing misinformation about the laptop.

In September, Psaki again dismissed questions about the laptop as “Russian disinformation” to ward off questions about the laptop.

“I think it’s broadly known and widely known that there was a broad range of Russian disinformation back in 2020,” she said in response to a question on the laptop.

Hell, he knew full well that Hunter Biden himself hadn’t denied the account, and instead had said that the laptop “absolutely” may have been his.

Fifteen establishment media personalities claimed Hunter Biden’s laptop emails were likely Russian propaganda before the New York Times authenticated them Wednesday.

After nearly two years of dismissing Hunter’s tantalizing emails uncovered before the 2020 presidential election, the Times authenticated the emails in direct contradiction of many in the Democrat-allied media.

The media personalities seemingly went out of their way to connect Russian dots of “disinformation” that did not exist for the purpose of supporting the Democrat nominee for president, Joe Biden, the father of Hunter and who now oversees the Justice Department’s investigation into Hunter’s possible tax fraud and corrupt business dealings with foreign entities.

Those business dealings reportedly took place throughout the world and may have involved Joe Biden himself. Such was the media’s necessity to dub the emails “Russian disinformation” instead of asking journalistic questions like Emma Joe Morris, who now is Breitbart News’s political editor and author of the original “laptop from hell” story from the New York Post.

Tony Bobulinksi, a former business partner of Hunter Biden and "The Big Guy," already confirmed the authenticity of the emails, a week after the laptop was publicized. Bobulinski was an addressee in the email threads and therefore could confirm that the email threads he was part of years ago were the exact same threads on the laptop.

But apparently the New York Times thought Bobulinski, a Navy veteran, might be a Russian Disinformation Agent.

Or something.

They never really wanted to talk about Tony Bobulinski much. They couldn't outright call him a Russian Agent, or they'd get sued, so they just... pretended he didn't exist.

The leftwing propaganda media does a lot of pretending these days.

They destroyed their reputations by signing this letter and then  not recanting for 16 months and counting. Some of these people appear to this day on CNN and MSNBC as esteemed experts on the war in Ukraine. The least they should do is declare a conflict of interest.

A Republican Senate MUST hold hearings with all 50 of the people who signed that letter 3 weeks before the 2020 campaign. They all said Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation. And they didn’t have a single piece of intel to suggest it.

If you are really industrious, you can dig 20 pages into the A section of today’s New York Times and find a 1,700-word news story by three of its top reporters, relating that the Justice Department’s investigation of President Biden’s son, Hunter, is not merely a tax matter. Turns out that prosecutors are probing his penchant for cashing in on his father’s political influence, through payments by overseas entities for which he did not register as a foreign agent.

Well, I’ll be damned!

Even better, if you wade 23 paragraphs into the story, you will learn that prosecutors are examining emails between Biden and his business associates that come from “a cache of files that appears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Mr. [Hunter] Biden in a Delaware repair shop.”

You don’t say.
