Texas nurse arrested after falsifying patient’s do-not-resuscitate form: police

A Texas home hospice service owner has been accused of falsifying a do-not-resuscitate form, according to the Plano Police Department.

Pamela Ekor-Tarh Eyambe, 60, was charged with tampering with physical evidence after an investigation into the death of a person being cared for by her Peaceful Touch Hospice & Palliative Care led to the discovery of the “falsified” DNR form, police said.

The alleged sham resuscitation document is not related to the patient whose death was initially being investigated — and police said they are doing an in-depth probe to find out if there are more fake DNR forms.

“You have to look at the big picture for us — is there or are there any patient under the care of this company that lost their life and they should have had life-saving measures,” said Plano police spokesman Officer Andrae Smith.

Eyambe, who is a nurse, was arrested Thursday on the charges and has since bonded out of jail.

She has not returned a request for comment from The Post, but a woman who identified herself as Eyambe’s daughter said her mother is innocent and that the police investigation is racially motivated.

I'm sure this sort of shenanigans is much more common in most of the country than most people are willing to acknowledge.

Sure, racially motivated. That must be it.
