Judge Ronnie Abrams said the crime was too serious for the non custodial sentence Archer’s lawyer requested. But the sentence was less than the 30 mths requested by prosecutors, parity with co-defendant Bevan Cooney. Judge Abrams cited COVID as a reason for the lesser sentence

The government can seize property up to $14m. The couple own a townhouse in Brooklyn and a house at Quogue, in the Hampton’s. Prosecutors also say they have additional investment assets worth “more than several million dollars”.
