The canadian courts determined the police could not take fuel but now the banks can seize your account if the THINK you are demonstrating?
The banks have become law enforcement?
strange world...
Keep in mind that Canadian law does not offer the same protections against government that our Constitution provides. The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms would be the equivalence of our Bill of Rights, except that it begins with one great big force majeure:
Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms
Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law:
Guarantee of Rights and Freedoms
1 The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees the rights and freedoms set out in it subject only to such reasonable limits prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society.
This is numero uno. First and foremost. This comes before freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, freedom of the press, and freedom of thought, belief, and opinion. So the government's veto judgment against demonstrable justification essentially annul everything that follows.
Canada is not a free country. It never has been. It is a Commonwealth of the United Kingdom and a relic of the colonial relationship of King George III. At the end of the American Revolution, many loyalists in the US chose to migrate to Canada, choosing the crown over the newly won liberties of the thirteen colonies.
