PARIS (Reuters) –     French President Emmanuel Macron refused a Kremlin request that he take a Russian COVID-19 test when he arrived to see President Vladimir Putin this week, to prevent Russia getting hold of Macron’s DNA, two sources in Macron’s entourage told Reuters.

If the Russians really wanted Macron's DNA, all they'd have to do is assign someone to collect a dropped hair sample, or vacuum up sloughed off skin.  It's not that hard to collect someone else's DNA if one really wants to.

Stray hairs, skin cells left on a toilet seat or a door handle, anything he drinks from, or utensil he uses, all are potential sources.
