Jan. 26, 2022 , DOD News
57th Rescue Squadron

By sea or air, members of the 57th Rescue Squadron are ready to save those in need.

The squadron leads, organizes, trains and equips Guardian Angel weapons system and combat support teams to conduct day and night personnel recovery operations in combat.

During training, airmen jumped from aircraft, free fell into the Adriatic Sea near Aviano Air Base, Italy, then proceeded to build small boats.  The squadron conducts these different training scenarios to ensure they are prepared for every mission.
