Biden Causing Panic in Ukraine

President Biden's efforts to insert himself into the tense situation in Ukraine drew a sharp rebuke from Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky. Biden's warning that "Ukraine is on the brink of being sacked by Russian troops" was rejected by Zelensky as "hysterical panic-mongering. We have already agreed to respect a previous truce with Russia and are working with Germany and France's acting as mediators to try to reach a more definitive resolution of all the concerns of both sides."

Press Secretary Jen Psaki characterized the agreement and negotiations as "illegitimate. Without the participation and approval of the United States any settlement will not be enforcible. Simply put, Putin must back down or we will sabotage his natural gas pipeline to western Europe."

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ken) agreed with Zelensky that "President Biden needs to calm down and allow the most directly involved parties to reach a peaceful resolution. The American people don't want a war. Threatening Russia is a dangerous gambit with very little chance of ending well. We didn't like it when Russia put nuclear missiles just 90 miles off our shore in 1962. It should not be hard to understand that Russia may feel uneasy about Ukraine joining NATO and having US weapons and troops sent to Ukraine. Let's give peace a chance."

Not wanting to give Sen. Paul the satisfaction of seeing his sage advice influence the Biden Administration's policy, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) is hastily assembling legislation that would dramatically increase military aid to Ukraine. "We're going to show the American people and the world that Democrats can more effectively engage the enemy than the Republicans did under President Bush. The wars that Bush unleashed in Afghanistan and Iraq lasted twenty years. The wars handled by Democratic presidents Wilson, Roosevelt, Truman and Johnson were all over much more quickly and with better final results. The new war with Russia in Ukraine will add to the Democrats' historic legacy as winners."

University Vaccine Mandates Illegal

Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares issued a legal opinion declaring that "the state's public universities and colleges lack the authority to make vaccination a requirement for students attending these schools. Such authority is reserved to the State Assembly. Over the past two years the Assembly has addressed many aspects of the pandemic, but it has not granted university or college officials the power to force students to comply with any vaccination mandate."

University of Virginia President James Ryan expressed opposition to Miyares' opinion, saying that "waiting for the Assembly to make the laws is too cumbersome a procedure during an emergency. In our in loco parentis role, we have the responsibility to act in what we see as the best interests of our enrollees. Just as the President of the United States has had to rule by decree in the battle against covid, we too must seize this same power to save the lives of our students and faculty."

Miyares rejected Ryan's argument and countered with "emergency is not a legitimate rationale for bypassing the role of legislatures in protecting the freedoms of the people. Public schools cannot arrogate to themselves the in loco parentis argument to displace the actual parents of the students, many of whom who would object to injecting their children with a vaccine that science shows is unnecessary and potentially harmful to them."

Meanwhile in neighboring Maryland, Prince George's County Public Schools' CEO Monica Goldson vowed "to continue requiring students to wear masks until covid no longer exists." An event that she asserts "will probably never happen." She went on to laud "our amazing adaptability handling the pandemic." This is despite the lack of evidence demonstrating the effectiveness of masks and in the face of evidence that masks impede children's intellectual and social development.

Norway & Sweden Reject Vax for Children

Norwegian Minister of Health and Care Services Ingvild Kjerkol announced that "we will not be recommending that children be vaccinated for covid. The risk for children suffering serious illness is extremely low. The side-effects of the vaccines pose a more serious threat to their health. We are also urging 12-15 year-olds who have already gotten one dose to not get the second dose because of the heightened risk of myocarditis." She went on to cite numerous recent studies supporting these decisions.

In Sweden, Health Agency official Britta Bjorkholm said "we are not recommending covid vaccination for children ages 5-12. With the knowledge we have today, we know there is a low risk for serious disease for children. We don't see any clear benefit from vaccinating them."

A recent study published on January 25, 2022, in the Journal of the American Medical Association it was reported that the risk of myocarditis following mRNA COVID vaccination is around 133 times greater than the background risk in the population.

Dr. Anthony Fauci called the slow down in the vaccination program across the global "hasty and irresponsible. It is heartbreaking for me to see it stopped short. As I have been saying for more than a year, the only way out of this pandemic is for everyone to be vaccinated. I will grant that children seem to face little risk from covid. From a selfish perspective there is little personal benefit to them from taking the jab. On the other hand, getting vaccinated is a sacrifice they can make to help achieve the unity that President Biden wants to achieve."

Buttigieg's Infrastructure Plan

U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg assured that "the passage of the $1.2 trillion infrastructure legislation will not go down the tired old path of providing more lane-miles of roads and bridges that has been the traditional transportation strategy in the past. Traveling on roadways is one of the most dangerous things most Americans do on a regular basis. Reducing this travel will be the core objective of my plan."

"The first prong of my plan will be to get people out of their cars," the Secretary said. "This means making alternatives to driving crucial. We need to improve crosswalks, add additional bus and bike lanes and more to make leaving your car at home the primary travel decision everywhere. Anyone who has traveled by car can't help but notice that the majority of the traffic exceeds the posted speed limit. Therefore, the second prong of my plan will be to force cars to lower their speeds. We will get this done by lowering posted speed limits and installing more radar speed detectors. The assessment of fines for speeding will be a great boost to government revenues."

"Eventually, huge numbers of drivers will slow down, take the bus, or walk to their destinations," Buttigieg predicted. "All told, trillions of miles of travel will be averted and millions of lives will be saved each and every year. I will win a Nobel Prize and be elected president in 2024."

Meanwhile in another transportation project, the Biden Administration is secretly sending illegal immigrants in "red-eye" charter flights to various parts of the country under cover of darkness. Peeved that this controversial policy was outed, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas explained that "critics who say this is illegal because it violates federal statutes are overlooking the President's approval of this covert strategy for unifying the nation by integrating recent immigrants to all parts of the country. The President of the United States has an unlimited authority to do what he thinks best under the 'general welfare' clause of the Constitution."

Biden to Appoint Black Woman to Supreme Court

The retirement of Supreme Court Associate Justice Stephen Breyer gives President Biden his first opportunity to put his imprint on that august body. Without hesitation, Biden promised to appoint a black woman to the vacancy, saying "it's long overdue that a buxom person of color joined our highest court."

Considering that Sen. Biden (D-Del) vilified current Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas when he was nominated by the First President Bush in 1991 and later filibustered the nomination of Judge Janice Rogers Brown to the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia by the younger President Bush in 2003, President Biden has a lot of gall.

Biden denied that there is any inconsistency, pointing out that "I've always held that a person cannot be authentically black if he or she is a Republican. I said that to Charlamagne tha God on his radio show during the 2020 campaign and I still stand by it. As a senator from a former slave state I know the difference between a real black person and a fake. I have always opposed and fought against fakes. That's why voters elected me. They appreciate that I will only put a genuine pure bred black on the Supreme Court and will vote Democrat in this year's elections to ensure that Republicans won't be able to thwart the unity that a super majority of Democrats in both houses of Congress will deliver to America."

Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) praised Biden's determination to make race and gender the top criteria for selecting Breyer's successor and added "it also needs to be a person who goes beyond the boundaries of the Constitution for guidance on the Court's rulings. This way the Court can create laws that Congress is unable to enact due to the opposition of Republicans. This law-free approach will help us to achieve a more equitable distribution of wealth and privilege."

Virginia Now a Soviet-Style Police State

CNN's "Democracy in Peril" host Jim Acosta charged that "Virginia's new Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin is turning the state into a Soviet-Style police state." As evidence, he cited "the Governor's bizarre notion that parents ought to have a say in what their children are taught in the public schools. The whole point of public school is to liberate children from the domination of their parents."

"Take the teaching of critical race theory as an example," Acosta said. "When telelearning enabled more parents to observe what was being taught they caused a ruckus at school board meetings. The response under the previous Democratic governor was to silence the criticisms and call for the arrest of the dissenting parents. Now, Gov. Youngkin is asking parents to inform him of their concerns so he can guide the schools toward a focus on basic skills and knowledge that will help students get jobs and lead productive lives—as if these objectives are somehow better than instruction in the correct progressive ideology."

"Another example is Youngkin's insistence that it is parents who should decide whether their children should or shouldn't wear masks in school," Acosta fumed. "He is denying school officials' freedom to impose their will on the students under their care. I can't imagine a more Stalinistic form of oppression. Youngkin should be impeached."

Gov Touts "Re-imagined Illinois Economy"

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) celebrated "the opening of a new call center that will encourage more women to make our state the destination of choice for aborting their unwanted babies. Last year even without the call center we saw 10,000 more women travel here from other states to use our state-of-the-art life termination facilities. This was a 29% boost in output. Our new call center promises to accelerate this growth in business."

Pritzker called abortion "a potential growth industry for our state in the event that the Supreme Court overrules its 1973 Roe v. Wade decision and returns the issue of whether to allow abortions to the states. Many of the other states will likely place more restrictions on the practice out of a misguided respect for human life. We will be the safe harbor for women whose home states refuse to meet their demands. The revenues earned will enable us to put more of our residents on public welfare, sparing them from the leisure-robbing rigors of providing for themselves."

The Governor also called "the shift from an economy based on smoke-belching steel factories, rail transportation, and bucolic pursuits to one based on the cleaner medical abortion industry will help purify our air and fight climate change. The people of this state should be proud of the contribution we are making to Mother Earth by opting to become the nation's leader in this vital medical field."

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
