Part of US military support package arrives in Ukraine
By Caroline Vakil - 01/22/22 07:46 AM EST

The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, announced on Saturday that part of a $200 million “security assistance” package for Ukraine’s military had arrived in the country early that morning.

“The donation, which includes close to 200,000 pounds of lethal security assistance, including ammunition for the front line defenders of Ukraine, demonstrates the United States’ strong commitment to Ukraine’s sovereign right to self-defense,” the U.S. embassy said in a post on Facebook.

The U.S. embassy noted that over $650 million of security assistance had been committed to Ukraine by the United States in the last year, and over $2.7 billion since 2014.

“The United States will continue providing such assistance to support Ukraine’s Armed Forces in their ongoing effort to defend Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against Russian aggression. As President Biden told President Putin, should Russia further invade Ukraine, the United States will provide additional defensive material to Ukraine above and beyond that already provided,” the U.S. embassy added.

Each month, we purchase $1.4 billion in oil from Russia.  Do you think delivery of just a portion of a $0.2 billion "security assistance" package is going to compensate for that?
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-
