Been there done that, and afterwards I said never again, next thing I knew I was in a boom lift at 65 feet in a stiff wind trying to hang a twenty plus foot cross on the steeple of a church we were remodeling. Did I mention I don't do well with heights? :scared smiley:

It ain't the falling that's the problem... It's the sudden stop at the bottom. So the only issue is to make sure you don't land.

Nah, when my hearing went so did my sense of balance so it's a feeling of falling all the time even atop a six foot ladder now. Really sucks, especially when my boss who happened to be my best friend too thought it was really funny to rock our small man lift twenty some feet up, haha. It's really not about falling or fearing hitting the ground, it's feeling. I still worked heights and roof edges, if you don't work you can't support your family so.....

I kinda get that... I had a pretty serious ear infection for a while - Set my balance clean off. I could still walk around and whatnot, but I had a hard time  where balance made a difference... Made it touchy. I couldn't trust myself.

How God must weep at humans' folly! Stand fast! God knows what he is doing!
Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
