Just as Pittsburgh fans are commemorating the 50th anniversary of the "immaculate reception," a pass that bounced off another player and into Franco's hands to ultimately win the playoff game. Such a sad day for Steelers fans. 😢

Interesting thing I just learned about Franco: a proud Penn State football player, he did a podcast about the firing of Joe Paterno over the Jerry Sandusky mess, and he believes the whole thing was based on a lie. https://www.uponfurtherreviewpsu.com/

I'm sure it's just me, but don't a lot of people seem to check out before the end of the year?

Breaking- Soccer Legend Pele has died

He was an exhilarating player at a time when soccer was pretty much unknown here. Actually made the game somewhat interesting. He greatly increased it's popularity, I remember seeing alot of him and his swag in the stores in the 70's.

Breaking- Barbara Waters has died at 93

Quote

Barbara Walters, the trailblazing television news broadcaster and longtime ABC News anchor and correspondent who shattered the glass ceiling and became a dominant force in an industry once dominated by men, has died. She was 93.

Walters joined ABC News in 1976, becoming the first female anchor on an evening news program. Three years later, she became a co-host of "20/20," and in 1997, she launched "The View."

In a career that spanned five decades, Walters won 12 Emmy awards, 11 of those while at ABC News.

Walters was one of the better journalists of her time, even with the fluff pieces. Though I have a hard time forgiving her for unleashing The View upon the world. 22222frying pan

As far as I am concerned that his her lasting legacy.  And I say that in the reflecting her pollution of day time TV forever.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Fidel laid a lot of track with liberal women in the US and Canada.  Fathered a few too.
