Reid's legacy will be invoking the nuclear option in 2013 to ram Obamacare down America's throat.

Can't they just bury him someplace in Nevada and spare us all endless hours of commentary on his *success* as Majority Leader.

Preferably in the desert, like Joe Pesci in "Casino".

How about Yucca Mountain?  Reed sunk $38 billion in taxpayer money into that site.  And when it was finally ready to go operational, he killed it.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

How Old is Congress?

https://www.quorum.us/data-driven-insights/the-115th-congress-is-among-the-oldest-in-history/
You have to check this out. It is eye-opening.

Who is the oldest member of Congress?
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Rep. Don Young (R-AK-At Large) are the oldest members of Congress. Both are 87 years old.

50 Senators are over the age of 65

Harry was just a young'un compared to these guys.
You would think that a geriatric Congress would be a good thing, if age = wisdom. However in Washington D.C. the opposite is true, age = fraud/corruption.

That and he blocked to many punches with his head as a boxer.
Still at it when he lost a fight to his exercise equipment :tongue2:

There really needs to be a mandatory retirement age for Congress.

Same as they have for us citizens.  62 on up. They make these laws for US...but not themselves.  Same with obama care MANDATE,  same with mask wearing...always exempt for themselves.  WHY?

I would make it either 72 or 75.

I retired at 50, and never regretted it for a minute.
If I had to 'go to work' when I am over 80, I'd kill myself.
That would a big indicator that I made some serious mistakes in my life.

No mention of his lying in state --- anywhere.

Funeral service set for former U.S. Sen. Harry Reid; Obama to deliver eulogy

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Funeral services for former Sen. Harry Reid are scheduled to take place on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. according to Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom.

Segerblom confirmed to 8 News Now that the weekend service will be held at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas and that former President Barack Obama is expected to deliver the eulogy.

In a statement Tuesday, Obama wrote in a letter to the former Senate Majority Leader, “You were a great leader in the Senate, and early on you were more generous to me than I had any right to expect. I wouldn’t have been president had it not been for your encouragement and support and I wouldn’t have got most of what I got done without your skill and determination.”

I hope to work until I'm 70.  But let's see if I still feel that way at 65.

Formal honor ceremonies in the nation’s Capitol and funeral arrangements were under discussion, and an announcement is expected soon.

I didn't start an actual career until I hit 44.  So I have some catching up to do when it comes to retirement money.

Everyone's life journey navigating thru jobs and life is different.  Sock as much money away now as you can.  I pissed away a ton of money on cars, questionable women of the night and other things before I hit 44.  But from 45 to 55 I figured it was time to make sure I wouldn't repeat pissing away money on cars.

That was my plan too, but Barry's economy and a self destructing spine and knee slapped me along side the head with the mallet of reality.
