“Access to sufficient amounts of drinking water to support the high rates of water loss experienced during the journey likely makes the difference between life and death for many migrants,” said Ryan Long, a senior author of the study.

Thousands of migrants trek to the U.S. southern border in a journey that’s considered incredibly dangerous – and now a new study has found that it’s becoming deadlier as climate change makes travel conditions more severe.

Researchers published a new study in Science this week that found as climate change has increasingly made regions of the world inhabitable it’s also making conditions for migrants more deadly. The results of the study found that undocumented migrants are disproportionately dying in harsh desert conditions that have been exacerbated from climate change.

What more proof does anyone need that "global warming'" is so deadly to people crossing the border illegally, they shouldn't be allowed to cross in for their own good.  To do so would be a crime against humanity, knowingly allowing people to face certain death from global warming cannot be allowed.

Who knew that there is inadequate water sources in a desert and that being in a desert in the summer's high heat results in dehydration and death? Or that the frigid temperatures of a desert in the winter could result in hypothermia and death. I would like to point out to the author of this no doubt expensive study and report paid for by the taxpayer that the change in seasons for, oh forever, have been climate change. The desert has always been dry, desert!, and hot in the summer and dry and cold in the winter with an occasional flash flood to flush away the unprepared.
