Maybe they shouldn't have arbitrarily jacked up food stamp allotments by 27%.  And they seriously wonder why prices went up?  I already have to compete with some lazy POS sitting on their ass waiting for Uncle Sam to up the balance on their EBT card.  Except now that lazy POS has 27% more money to compete with than they did four months ago.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

-Ayn Rand-

It all starts with Fuel.
Fuel to use in the equipment to farm it, to manufacture the cartons and container it ships in.
Fuel to bring it in, to run the forklifts to unload it.
Fuel to get the store workers and the customer to the stores to sell and buy the products.
EVERYTHING moves somehow, and if you raise the prices to move EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING goes up in price.
(not to mention to cool it, ot to heat it, etc.)

I have a great idea!
First, will lock everyone down, and then when we open back up:

Let's kill our pipelines, and let Russia open theirs.
Let's ban fracking, too!
Then, lets beg OPEC and oil companies to lower profits.
We'll just blame it on greed, since no one understands economics, anyway.

Nah, I'll just blame it on China, Joe, and Fauci.
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

The margin most groceries make is less than 5%, and usually less than 2%.

What gouging does she speak of?

@Free Vulcan

She has no idea. I doubt she has personally gone grocery shopping in decades. It's something she has the hired help do  for her.

Okay, but if you were a Dem, you'd blame it on greed, (or climate change, or racism).
