Covington Teen Nicholas Sandmann Settles $275 Million Defamation Lawsuit with NBC

Covington Catholic High School student Nicholas Sandmann announced Friday that he settled a $275 million defamation lawsuit against NBC.

Neither party publicized the terms of the settlement. However, Sandmann asked for $275 million in damages in his lawsuit against NBC Universal and MSNBC.

“At this time I would like to release that NBC and I have reached a settlement,” Sandmann tweeted. “The terms are confidential.”

I assume NBC will pull a CNN, and tell everybody he settled for $10,000, knowing Nick can't set the record straight because "confidential."

I had FOX News on for a minute this morning and they were talking about this. I think they concluded it's got to be more than $100,000, which would be a nominal settlement.

Any settlement would include the cost of lawyers at a minimum or why settle. The settlement has to be a lot more than $100,000 just to pay the legal costs.

If NBC and the rest of the defamers were serious about a real settlement
they would release the amount and add a bit more.
