Some have brought up the concern of range being drastically reduced in cold weather states, Harris has an answer, all you have to do is tow a generator behind you to extend your range.

Of course it negates the supposed green aspect of EV's and turns them into a hybrid still having a gas powered generator, makes parking and maneuvering more difficult, but hey at least you might possibly maybe not freeze to death in a snow storm.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

The obvious question becomes if you have to tow a gas or diesel powered generator then why not just have a gas or diesel powered vehicle? Hybrids?
